Basic Firearms Training Courses involve detailed descriptions and knowledge of firearms. The range sessions allow shooting time with the instructor demonstrating the two-handed standing position with a pistol or rifle and adopt the fundamentals necessary to shoot safely and accurately. You will learn proper grip, stance, sight alignment and all the responsibilities that will prepare you for owning your own firearm. It is our goal that you walk away from these courses much more knowledgeable and confident in your ability to handle a firearm safely and effectively.
 
This is a hands on class room, with plenty of student and instructor interaction. We adhere strictly to the NRA's proven rules of Gun Safety during all of our training classes and range sessions.

Certificates of Completion will be awarded at the end of each class.

Please be aware these are NOT marksmanship courses, they are primarily safe gun handling courses instructing you with what is described above.

NOTE: Absolutely NO Live Ammunition in the Classroom is allowed!

Important Gun Handling Rules

  1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. 
  2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. 
  3. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.

When using or storing a gun, always follow these NRA rules:

  A). Know your target and what is beyond. 
  B). Know how to use the gun safely. 
  C). Be sure the gun is safe to operate. 
  D). Use only the correct ammunition for your gun. 
  E). Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate. 
  F). Never use alcohol or over-the-counter, prescription or other drugs before or while shooting. 
  G). Store guns so they are not accessible to unauthorized persons. 
  H). Be aware that certain types of guns and many shooting activities require additional 
        safety precautions.
